Mid Cheshire Bowling League Premier
BARNTON CC A played their first Premier match at home since promotion last season.
They welcomed Kingswood and the home team had the best of it, with eight winners and a final score of 194-131.
Rudheath Bowls A played their first home game of the season, facing last season’s Section One winners Victoria A.
Victoria maintained their winning ways, beating Rudheath 168-186 and sit third on the table as a result.
Wharton Bowls Club A had a good home win against Castle Sports B, with eight home winners in the 197-143 victory leaving them only one point behind leaders Castle Sports A in the standings.
Castle A, at home against Crewe PO, also had eight winners and a final score of 196-145.
Shavington A recorded a good home win against Owley Wood A 189-167.
Comberbach A played at home against Frodsham Red Lion A and with six winners they took the match 175-149.
Section One
Rudheath Bowls B overcame Barnton CC B 189-164, while Castle Sports D were edged out at home by Moulton RBL A 174-175.
Owley Wood B hosted crosstown, with the home side winning 196-158.
Frodsham Red Lion B hosted Comberbach B and ran out 178-159 victors.
Victoria B played at home against Wharton Bowls Club B and won 178-154.
Meadowbank A lost their home game to Castle Sports C 162-192.
Section 3
Barnton CC B had a full house against Meadowbank B, 210-103.
Tarporley B won at home, too, beating Shavington B 192-174.
Fern Villa BC B (Formerly Winsford Cons) defeated Owley Wood D 196-158 at home.
Comberbach B travelled to Frodsham Red Lion B where the home side came out on top 197-122.
Winnington B succeeded in their home match 182-155 against Wharton Rec A.
Cuddington overcame Delamere 181-157, while Crowton narrowly won their home game 169-165 against Winnington A.
Section 4
Davenham D entertained Owley Wood D and clinched a 192-140 win.
Hartford D played at home to Comberbach D, winning 174-156.
Moulton RBL B had nine winners at home to Barnton CC D, winning 205-140.
Castle sports E won at home 191-141 against Davenham C.
Sandbach Park B saw off Hartford A, 175-146, while Norley lost at home to Rudheath Bowls C 151-184.

Mid Cheshire Federation v East Lancs
Back in Division Two, we had our first game against East Lancs - a team whom it feels like we play often.
The home match was on the artificial turf green of Helsby, while the away match was on Greenhill. In our away captain’s words: “Away green looks very tough, so anyone who can have a big win at home will be much needed.”
