LEE Duckworth’s position with Northwich Victoria has been confirmed following the departure of co-manager Luke Goddard.
The pair came together to take charge of The Trickies in November 2024 and have steered their side to top spot in the Midland League Premier Division.
But Goddard has left the role this week to take up the first-team manager role at Nantwich Town.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I share the news that Luke Goddard has left the club to take up an incredible opportunity as first-team manager at Nantwich Town,” said Vics chairman Ian Egerton.
“Luke has been outstanding to work with, and I’d like to personally thank him for his hard work, dedication, and football knowledge.
“Alongside Lee, he has played a huge part in rebuilding a Northwich Victoria side that we can all be proud of.
“Ultimately, the chance to manage his hometown club was something he understandably couldn’t turn down.
“I’m sure all our players and supporters will join me in expressing their appreciation for everything Luke has done, and in wishing him every success in his new role.”
Duckworth will continue as sole manager of Northwich Victoria, and his backroom team of Jack Turner (assistant manager), Ant Young (goalkeeper coach), Kevin Street (fitness coach) and Archie (physio) will continue in their roles as well.”
