TEN-MAN Witton Albion brought a point home from Lancashire last night as they drew with one of manager Jon Macken’s former clubs.
Joe Duckworth’s ninth-minute goal gave Albion an early lead at Colne as the striker headed home Harry McGee’s cross.
The hosts equalised midway through the first half when Enock Lusiama’s shot was adjudged to have crossed the line, but that was not the end of the drama.
Prince Haywood was sent off with 15 minutes remaining, but Witton held out to secure a point.
In the North West Counties League, Barnton are still looking for their first win under new manager Danny Moss after a 1-0 loss at Wythenshawe Amateurs on Tuesday.
Joseph Bevan scored the game’s only goal after 15 minutes.
On Monday evening, Winsford United’s three-match winning run in all competitions was brought to an end by Charnock Richard, who won 2-0 at Barton Stadium thanks to second-half goals from Oliver Oxley (56) and Carl Grimshaw (82).
