ONE player stole the show at the Mid-Cheshire Table Tennis League championship finals night.

Terry Turner, who plays for the season Division One league winners 'Wreckers' enjoyed a treble at Winnington Park Recreation Club on the night, winning the men's singles, vets singles and, with his clubmate, George Abbott, the men's doubles.

Vice chairman Russ Joynson acknowledged Gwilym Morgan as the county schools’ champion who is to represent Cheshire in the national finals at Aldersley, Wolverhampton.

Chairman Peter Clark was presented with an engraved silver salva in recognition of serving on the committee in various posts for more than 50 years.

President Alf Perry made trophy and award presentations to Division One winners Wreckers and runners up Tigers; Division Two winners Kinetics and runners up Sticklebacks; Mike Johns KO winners Wreckers and runners up Sticklebacks.
