AFTER their latest defeat, Witton Albion’s relegation from the Northern Premier League Premier Division could be confirmed on Tuesday.

Carl Macauley’s side were beaten 2-0 at play-off chasers Bamber Bridge this afternoon, with Mark Yeates and Paul Dawson on target for the home side.

It means that if Albion will be relegated if they lose to Morpeth Town on Tuesday and Basford United – the team directly above them – beat Warrington Town on the same evening.

In the NPL West Division, 1874 Northwich’s promising finish to the season continued as their first home game in more than a month saw them beat Trafford 3-0.

Sam Hare’s early goal set Greens on their way, with Jamie Reed and Callam Gardner on target in the second half for Paul Bowyer and Wayne Goodison’s men.

Northwich Victoria wrapped up their season in style in the North West Counties League Premier Division.

Their final game of the season saw them beat Barnoldswick Town 2-1 at the U Lock It Stadium, with Martyn Jackson and Luke Sephton on target as Vics finished fifth in the table.

Barnton could not finish their league season on a high note as they lost their final game 2-1 at Maine Road in the First Division South.
