WINSFORD United took home local bragging rights this afternoon as they were victorious at Northwich Victoria.
Two first-half goals proved sufficient for Lee Duckworth’s men, with Joe Duckworth opening the scoring on 24 minutes before Dylan Chalice doubled their lead 10 minutes later.
As Vics sought a way back into the contest, they were dealt a big blow in the second half when Rudy Misambo was shown a red card to reduce them to 10 men.
Steve Wilkes’ side have now dropped to 10th in the North West Counties League Premier Division table having not scored for a fourth game in a row.
Blues remain 12th but close the gap to their neighbours to just four points.
