NORTHWICH Victoria showed no ill effects of not having played for three weeks this afternoon.

Indeed it was a lightning start to the game that earned them all three points against Squires Gate at the U Lock It Stadium.

Two goals in three first-half minutes did the trick, with Luke Sephton opening the scoring before Ashley Dunn quickly doubled the lead on 17 minutes.

Squires Gate pulled a goal back through Jack Iley on the stroke of half time, but Vics were able to see out the second half.

Having jumped up to eighth in the North West Counties League Premier Division table with victory, Steve Wilkes' side are next in action on Saturday when they host bottom side Litherland REMYCA.
