WINNINGTON Park Hockey Club men’s seconds were in red-hot form at the weekend.

They dominated their Warrington counterparts from start to finish, with two goals from Harrison Austin and one from Mark Leigh putting them 3-0 up at the break.

They completed a 6-0 rout after the interval as Austin completed his hat-trick to go with further strikers from Jacob Wylie and Ollie Gallagher.

The women’s firsts were also victorious, coming out on top 3-1 against Welsh side Clwb Eirias.

Two goals from Shandy Moloney-Pugh either side of one from player of the match Rachel Middlebrook did the damage for Park.

Meanwhile, the men’s thirds dominated their match against Wilmslow but had just the one goal to show for it.

It was enough for the victory, with Liam Mackee’s strike earning a 1-0 win.

The men’s firsts slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Southport despite a dominant second half, with the home keeper keeping them out almost single-handedly.

The ladies seconds were also beaten, with Alderley Edge proving too strong as they ran out 6-0 victors.
