TWO of Winnington Park Bowmen’s archers have got their indoor seasons underway with solid displays.
At the Northern Counties Archery Society shoot in Sheffield, Leigh Hadfield and Michelle Oakes both finished second in their respective competitions.
Hadfield shot a credible score of 575 – which incorporated 57 golds – in the men’s recurve while Oakes shot 561 in the women’s recurve.
It promises to be a busy month ahead for Hadfield, as he prepares to take on the country’s best archers at the National Indoor Championships.
He has also one of only two recurve archers to be invited to a training camp with England Archery, which also takes place in December.
