CALLUM Saunders equalled a Witton Albion club record as his side drew at Stalybridge Celtic.

The striker scored for the eighth league game in a row as he netted twice, but Carl Macauley's side will perhaps be frustrated to draw 2-2 having taken the lead twice.

Saunders' strikes were both cancelled out by Jordan Johnson as all four goals were scored in the first half at Bower Fold.

Meanwhile, a late goal from skipper Matt Woolley secured a long-awaited home victory for 1874 Northwich.

The midfielder struck in the 88th minute to secure a 1-0 victory over Ramsbottom United for their first win at Townfield since August.

In the North West Counties League, Northwich Victoria went goal-crazy as they hammered Ashton Athletic 7-1.

Brad Lynch scored four times for Steve Wilkes' side, who fell behind early but recovered to win emphatically with Carl Grimshaw, Matty Birchall and Chad Whyte also on the scoresheet.

Winsford United were also emphatic winners, hammering Squires Gate 6-2 to continue their upturn in form.

Two goals each from Joe Duckworth and Dave Short and one each for Oliver McDonough and Dan Boden made it 10 points from their last 12.

Barnton earned a creditable 1-1 draw at Sandbach United in the First Division South, with Ross Avies' equaliser earning them a point.
