WITTON Albion made it back-to-back victories this afternoon.

Callum Saunders was on target again - his fifth goal since joining the club from Nantwich Town - as he netted the only goal to secure a 1-0 win at Whitby Town.

The result moves Carl Macauley's side up to 16th in the Northern Premier League Premier Division table.

Meanwhile, 1874 Northwich's first ever FA Trophy game ended in penalty shoot-out heartbreak.

Jake Parker had given Greens a second-half lead in their second qualifying round clash with Marine, but Josh Solomon-Davies' late equaliser sent the tie to penalties.

The Crosby side won 4-1 in the shoot-out to end 1874's involvement in the competition.

Here is what 1874 co-manager Wayne Goodison thoughts of the game

Northwich Victoria had a Matty Birchall double to thank for a 2-1 victory against Irlam this afternoon.

Birchall grabbed the winner nine minutes from time after his first-half opener had been cancelled out just after half time.
