WINNINGTON Park Hockey Club have enjoyed a largely positive weekend of action.
The women’s firsts were 3-1 victors away at Runcorn, with Eleanor Warner netting twice to put them in command.
Runcorn pulled one back but Hannah Johnson’s late goal sealed a deserved win for Park.
The men’s seconds were dominant winners at Wilmslow’s fourth team having come from behind, with Pete Haffenden and Harrison Austin putting them ahead at the break.
Matty Howard then scored twice, with his brother Tom and Mark Leigh also netting as Park ran out 6-2 winners.
The men’s thirds dominated Macclesfield’s fourths, with Austin scoring a hat-trick to go with one more from Ian Turley to secure a 4-0 win.
The ladies seconds drew 0-0 with Lymm’s fourths but the men’s firsts were beaten 3-2 by their Lymm counterparts despite a brace from Nathan Gee.
