WITTON Albion endured a nightmare afternoon at the newly-renamed U Lock It Stadium.

Facing fellow strugglers Granthan Town in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, Carl Macauley's side slipped to a 4-1 defeat.

Harvey Grice and Mason Lee scored either side of a Nathan Woodthorpe own goal as Witton went 3-0 down in a nightmare seven-minute spell after half time.

Callum Saunders pulled a goal back for the hosts, but Ali Ademir rounded off the scoring for the visitors.

1874 Northwich also had a difficult afternoon in the NPL West Division, slipping to a 5-0 home defeat to Bootle at Townfield.

Ryan Winder and Matty Birchall were on target for Steve Wilkes' side, who make it back-to-back victories.

Winsford United were beaten 2-1 at home by Barnoldswick Town, with Matthew Russell on the scoresheet for Blues.

Barnton lost 3-1 at Cheadle Heath Nomads, with Matthew Waller on target for the Villagers.
