WINNINGTON Park made it back-to-back wins on Saturday, ending Southport's perfect start to the campaign in the process.

They had to repel a late comeback from the hosts to do it, with the Burrows Hill side eventually running out 29-25 winners.

A penalty try got Park on the board and after Southport had edged ahead through a try and a penalty, tries from Lee Allmark and Dan Berg put them 19-8 ahead at the break.

Park continued to play some flowing rugby after the interval, with a Will Nelson try and Cam Flanagan's penalty seemingly making the points safe.

Southport rallied with three late tries, but the visitors held on to secure an impressive win.
