TOBY King and Mike Cooper's selections in this year's Super League Dream Team are reflections of remarkably consistent seasons from the Warrington Wolves pair.

King was named at centre and Cooper in the front row of the annual selection – the first time The Wire have had more than one player in the team since 2016.

When you look at the numbers generated by both players, it is easy to see why.

Both players lead the competition in offloads, with King's 42 edging out 37 from his teammate.

In terms of try assists, King leads the club stats with 10 and that number is the highest for a centre in Super League as a whole.

He is tenth in the competition rankings for assists, but all the players above him are half-backs or full-backs.

Not only has that led to Dream Team selection, but England head coach Shaun Wane has included him among a squad of players that will meet up for training as soon as Covid restrictions allow – the first time he has been involved with the England senior team.

Cooper meanwhile is also back in the England fold under Wayne having been largely overlooked by previous England boss Wayne Bennett.

In terms of props, his 1,776 metres and 246 carries – an average of 7.2 metres per carry – are bettered only by fellow Dream Team front-rower Alex Walmsley.
