DESPITE the professional game and much of the semi-professional schedule being wiped out by coronavirus concerns, it was a busy afternoon for our teams.

Witton Albion, 1874 Northwich and Northwich Victoria were all in action as their games were allowed to go ahead.

Albion picked up a point in the BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division as they visited play-off chasing Lancaster City.

James Foley struck Witton's equaliser inside the final 20 minutes as they drew 1-1 at the Giant Axe.

Carl Macauley's side had fallen behind on the stroke of half time after Paul Dawson converted a penalty for the hosts.

1874 Northwich were held to a goalless draw by Barnoldswick at Townfield but remain comfortably clear at the top of the North West Counties League Premier Division.

Across town at Wincham Park, Northwich Victoria boss Steve Wilkes enjoyed his reunion with former side Padiham as Vics were 3-1 victors.

Two Brandon Barski headers either side of a Padiham equaliser put the hosts in position before Tom Powell sealed the victory late on.
