LEIGH Hadfield won a silver medal in the Cheshire Senior Indoor Archery Championships.
He was one of three representing Winnington Park Bowmen at Ellesmere Port.
Hadfield’s silver came on the back of equalling his personal best score of 574 in a strong group of recurve archers.
He also collected a medal and bar for competing for the Cheshire squad in 2019.
Amanda Rose shot some great rounds and achieved her gold level Cheshire Cheese award, and Michelle Oakes won the Frank Comston Trophy for the highest novice score and a new personal best of 509.
The team have been training at the club’s indoor shooting range at Winnington Recreational Area, but will soon be moving outdoors to their shooting range based at Moss Farm Leisure complex, in preparation for the outdoor season.
The club welcomes archers of all ages and abilities, and regularly holds beginner taster sessions and courses for anyone wanting to try their hand at archery.
