1874 Northwich hope to return to action this evening.

They will try again to visit Maine Road after Saturday's League Cup quarter-final clash was scuppered by Storm Dennis.

A victory tonight would hand the side co-managed by Wayne Goodison and Paul Bowyer a two-legged semi-final against Shelley FC or Ellesmere Rangers FC, with the first leg taking place on Saturday, March 28, and the return seven days later.

Should tonight's match be postponed, then it will revert to Townfield on Tuesday, February 25.

In the other half of the draw AFC Liverpool will host Ashton Athletic or Runcorn Town.

Tuesday night's scheduled Mid-Cheshire Senior Cup semi-final tie at Witton Albion against neighbours 1874 Northwich will need to be rearranged.

The North West Counties Premier Division side's next league outing will be at home to Burscough on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
