WITTON Albion striker Will Jones will be missing for the foreseeable future.
The frontman suffered a double jaw fracture during yesterday's 3-1 defeat at Ashton United which requires surgery.
Jones was injured early at Hurst Cross and was replaced by Danny McKenna.
Moments earlier, Tom Owens had but Albion ahead with a fine volley but Ashton equalised on the stroke of half time through former Witton striker Steven Tames.
The hosts then struck twice in quick succession after the hour mark to seal victory thanks to Michael Brewster and a Josh Wilson penalty.
Albion drop three places to 10th in the BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division ahead of a trip to struggling Matlock Town on Saturday.
