1874 Northwich switch from league duty in a bid to progress in the Cheshire Senior Cup tonight, Tuesday.
Out-of-form Cheadle Heath Nomads, currently 12th in the North West Counties First Division South, will be the visitors to Townfield for the second-round tie, kick-off 7.45pm.
Premier Division leaders 1874 will not want to slip up after all they went through to reach this stage.
They defeated Witton Albion 4-3 on penalties in a remarkable first-round tie at Wincham Park on October 22.
Cheadle, who won 2-1 at Congleton Town in their first-round contest a week later, have lost their last seven matches in all competitions.
Their last victory was a 2-0 home win against New Mills on November 30, but they will be relishing the opportunity to be the ones to force an upset in the second round.
