NORTHWICH Victoria's run of games without a win is extended to five on the back of defeat against Bootle at Wincham Park.

Saul Henderson put Vics ahead from the penalty spot in the 43rd minute, but the visitors hit back after the break.

Cameron Dalton levelled matters three minutes after the restart and Carl Peers sunk what proved to be the winning goal in the 64th minute.

Both sides had further chances, and home goalkeeper Mike Hale came to his side's rescue on several occasions.

It was when Thomas Powell attempted to get on the end of an Aaron Burns cross that he was brought down in the box.

Henderson coolly placed his spot kick in the bottom corner.

Hale made a smart save but could only push the ball away and Dalton reacted quickest to belt home the leveller.

The route just seemed to open up for Peers to seal the game for Bootle.

Josh Winder made his debut off the bench in the final 10 minutes and came as close as anyone of salvaging a point for Vics.

But his curled effort in the 85th minute was put out for a corner by the visiting keeper.

Vics slip to 12th in the North West Counties Premier Division, while Bootle climb to third.

Vics: Hale, Henry, Peters, R Winder, P Clarke, Barski, Powell, Pollard, Burns, Henderson, Camozzi. Subs: Dorney, Pilkington, J Winder, M Clarke.
