HAVING impressed on the local circuit, kart racer James Ollier is ready to try his luck further afield.
Thanks to a win in the final race meeting, the 11-year-old from Winsford secured second place overall in the MSUK Cheshire Kart Racing Club Championship.
Next year, the Cuddington Primary School pupil will be racing across the country in the more powerful Micromax class ā a category he already owns two victories in from this year.
"Iām really pleased to finish the season with a win and my runner up place in the championship," he said.
"I must thank my mechanic Brian and everyone at Modus Motorsport who helped us win this year."
Ollier finished the 2019 campaign in fine style with a Cadet class victory at the Hooton Park circuit near Ellesmere Port last month.
Next year will be his final year as a Cadet racer before moving up to Juniors in 2021.
