WINNINGTON Park men’s hockey team drew 2-2 at Clwb Hoci Eirias.

Park fell behind but soon levelled through Danny Hancock after a good assist from Paul Stackhouse. A great chance fell to Sam Cloake late in the first half but wasn’t able to convert. HT 1-1.

Park started the second half dominant again creating chances and short corners, Park’s second came from another short corner a Stackhouse shot finding George Hudson to deflect in through a short corner to take a 2-1 lead. Missed chances cost Park in the end as Eirias equalised late on.

Park’s Mens 2s went down 6-3 at home to Deeside Ramblers 4s.

Greg Wilkes scored from an improbable angle to level for Park. Again Deeside pulled ahead but Chris Moss and Mark Leigh put them ahead at 3-2.

Deeside scored four second half goals to secure the spoils.

Meanwhile Park’s thirds started the season well against the Whitchurch men’s firsts.

Winnington were hit on the break four times. Winnington’s best chances went to man of the match Nathan Gee.

Park’s fours started the season off at home to the Whitchurch seconds, losing 2-1.

Park’s Man of the Match David Elliott beat the keeper to level.

Alas, Whitchurch got the winner.

Park Ladies 2nd team captain Isobel Warrener led a determined team to a 7-4 result against Timperley. Goal scorers were Becky Forster, four, Isobel Warrener, two, and one from Olivia Jones in a great all-round team performance.
