KINGSLEY reached the last eight for a second successive year as a reward for brushing aside Wirral by 82 runs at the Croft last week.
The home team ran up 181-8 after winning the toss, recovering from a slow start thanks to contributions from Ali Begg (43 off 19 balls) and Haris Yassin (34).
Craig Lynch (24no), Ben Ainsworth (23) and Charlie Loy (21) all scored rapidly too to set a demanding target requiring the visitors to score at more than nine runs an over.
They never looked likely to keep up, and were hampered in any case by losing wickets regularly.
Toby Mullins (3-19) shortened the tail after skipper Ben Stoddart (2-22) and Adrian Burden (2-18) had made inroads earlier in the innings as Wirral closed short on 99-9.
A trip to Langley awaits in the quarter-finals on Sunday.
Barnton breezed through in the T20 Plate at the expense of Old Parkonians, who they beat by six wickets at Broomsedge.
Needing 108 to win, James Hodgkinson’s men made it there with two overs to spare with Ben Wingfield (17no) and Matthew Gosnell (8no) at the crease.
They build on a foundation laid by Cory Devanny (26) and Paul Coot (20).
Their guests made an encouraging start to the evening, but contributions from openers Daniel Berkson (20) and David Nedugodan (53no) were the biggest by a distance as they closed on 107-8.
Coot, with 4-21, and Devanny (2-28) were the pick of the hosts’ attack.
