WINNINGTON Park have an opportunity to avenge a defeat in last season’s Cheshire RFU Bowl final when they meet the same opponents in the next edition.
Matt Farr’s men were paired with Crewe & Nantwich, their conquerors in the sunshine at New Brighton in April, in a draw for the quarter-finals published earlier this week.
It means a rematch too between brothers with the Winnington coach’s younger brother, John, his counterpart at Crewe.

Martin Poste’s men, architects of a brilliant last-gasp victory against Birkenhead Park in the showpiece at Easter, will travel to either Sandbach or Macclesfield in September.
