OULTON Park will take on holders Nantwich next week to decide who makes progress in the Cheshire County League T20.

The men from Little Budworth, gifted maximum points from their group-stage opener by Davenham who conceded, eased to a 47-run victory over Northwich on Thursday.

A highlight for the Premier Division side was a brilliant century from Tom Hyslop (118 off 61 balls) who shared in a first-wicket partnership worth 177 with captain Martyn East (51no).

The opener plundered eight fours and 11 maximums as the home team racked up 209-1 at Pinfold Lane.

Yuvraj Gawande (1-13) was the only one of eight bowlers used by skipper Gladwin Cherian to take a wicket.

The visitors scored 162-2 in reply after opening pair Glinoj Cherian (45) and James Gittings (80no off 56 balls) put on 76.

East (1-19) and Andy Hards (1-22) both claimed a wicket.

Davenham were eliminated following a 154-run reverse at home to the Dabbers, who were in unforgiving mood when they amassed 253-9 after winning the toss.

Ben Johnston (122 off 49 balls) was destructive at the top of the order, hitting 18 fours and half-a-dozen sixes, and shared in a second-wicket stand worth 103 with Luke Robinson (25).

Christian Kouris (2-55) ended both men’s innings, while skipper Ben Gough (2-44) and David Ashley (3-35) were successful too.

The hosts then succumbed for 99 by the 19th over with Gough (36 off 39 balls) and Sam Robbins (11) the only batsmen to reach double-figures.

Jimmy Warrington (4-5 off three overs) inflicted most damage while Henry Dobson, Oliver Griffiths and Mitchell Spencer shared the other wickets to fall.
