HISTORY repeated for Davenham after their bowling attack delivered a second successive victory, this time at Upton, in Division One.

Adam Garrod (4-35) again led a collective effort that featured contributions from captain Ben Gough (3-18) and Ryan Blackie (2-14) as their hosts succumbed for 105.

Wicket-keeper Mike Sambell held on to three catches.

The visitors had been restricted to 118 all out after being put in earlier in the afternoon, newcomer Chris Clarkson (34no) and Sam Robbins (19) adding 36 runs for the seventh wicket after coming together at 77-6.

Liam Sundve (5-29) was the pick of Upton’s bowlers.

Oulton Park suffered a third defeat in the Premier Division despite another heroic effort in the field.

They knocked over Nantwich for 88, a tally that would have been even smaller had it not been for captain Ray Doyle (38), with Ben Gibbon (5-8 off seven overs) their outstanding performer.

Skipper Martyn East and Andrew Dufty (both 2-13) provided support.

However the men from Little Budworth were again left to rue a disappointing return at the crease when they fell short at 82 all out.

Cheshire opener Danny Leech scored 20, but Oliver Griffiths (5-13) and Jimmy Warrington (3-19) wrestled back control for the Dabbers.

Northwich suffered a heavy nine-wicket defeat at home to Mobberley in Division Two after they were skittled for 34.

Only Justine Joseph (12) posted a double-digit score for the hosts, who had no answer to in-form Abdul Aqeel (7-16).

The visitors needed less than eight overs to secure maximum points with Aqeel (17) the man out after he was trapped LBW by James Gittings (1-16).
