A NORTHWICH green hosts the home leg of Cheshire’s meeting with South Yorkshire in the opening round of the British Senior County Championship on Sunday.
Rudheath Social Club, on Middlewich Road, is the venue chosen by officials.
Bowlers from Castle and Wharton Cons make up the bulk of a side that can expect to be tested by opponents that finished as runners-up to Warwick & Worcester by the narrowest of margins – just a single chalk on aggregate – in last year’s final.
The defending champions complete a line-up for Section Two.
Cheshire visit Dearne Sports, in Rotherham, for the away leg.
Play starts at 2pm.
