Keswick 10-2 Winnington Park

WINNINGTON Park were on the wrong end of a 10-2 score-line on an afternoon when Keswick collected the points they needed to secure first place.

Paul Stackhouse and George Hudson claimed the visitors’ consolation goals last weekend on their trip to Cumbria for a North West Men’s League top-flight fixture.

Winnington Park 2nd 1-0 Knutsford 2nd

IT was a happier afternoon for Park’s seconds who completed a double over their Knutsford counterparts in dramatic circumstances at Sir John Deane’s College.

Goalkeeper John-Paul Dodd saved a penalty flick in the last minute before Winnington attacked from the restart and Chris Moss deflected a cross into the net with the game’s final touch.

Wrexham Glyndwr 2nd 1-1 Winnington Park 3rd

WINNINGTON Park's thirds cursed their luck after a draw with Wrexham Glyndwr seconds.

The Welshmen converted from their first short-corner of the contest before Alex Hickson netted an equaliser.

He was unlucky to see a spectacular effort, when he stretched fully to connect with a reverse-stick shot, strike an upright before the umpire ruled out a goal in the second-half to deny the Northwich side.

Winnington Park 4th 3-1 Mossley Hill 3rd

LIAM McKee scored twice for Winnington’s fourths when they won 3-1 against Mossley Hill thirds.

He applied a finishing touch from close-range to a well-worked team move before the visitors restored parity.

Nathan Gee capped an impressive first-half display when he put Park ahead before McKee stayed calm to convert a penalty after the interval.
