WITTON Albion were denied a deserved victory by Basford United when Nathan Watson’s last-minute volley flashed past goalkeeper Greg Hall.
It completed a comeback by the visitors who had trailed 2-0 inside 20 minutes thanks to goals from captain Rob Hopley and fellow front-runner Will Jones.
James Reid halved the Nottingham outfit’s arrears when he converted a penalty before the break after Hopley had handled.
A draw keeps Carl Macauley’s men ninth in the Northern Premier League Premier Division’s top-flight.
