Chester 2nd 2-4 Winnington Park

WINNINGTON Park resisted a Chester comeback to put more distance between them and the North West League top-flight's relegation zone.

Paul Stackhouse and Harry Garner both found the net to establish control only for that advantage to be wiped out by half-time thanks to two goals from set-pieces.

However the improving Northwich outfit, victors now in three of their past four matches, recovered from that blow when Tom Hughes and Paul Lancaster scored in the second-half to secure maximum points.

Winnington Park 2nd 1-2 Sandbach

AFTER scoring on his debut for the third team seven days earlier, Freddie Long repeated the trick for Park’s seconds.

However it couldn't prevent a defeat.

Sandbach converted from a short-corner to lead at the turnaround before Long, from Matt Howard's assist, found the net from a near-impossible angle to equalise.

However the visitors to Sir John Deane's College edged in front a second time from another short-corner routine before resisting Park's attempts to claim a share of the spoils.

Neston 6th 3- 2 Winnington Park 3rd

IN the first game of a double-header for Park, they surrendered a second-half lead to fall to defeat at Neston.

Tom Ravenscroft cancelled out an early opener for the home team before John Crouchley put Park ahead in the second-half.

However Neston, jolted into a reaction, turned the game around to claim all three points.

Winnington Park 3rd 2-0 Neston 7th

WINNINGTON Park’s thirds put the previous afternoon's disappointment behind them quickly when they beat a strong Neston side on Sunday.

John Crouchley opened the scoring early on before Alex Hickson's goal then put them out of reach before the interval.

It leaves them sat second in the Division Seven South West table, three points adrift of leaders University of Chester.

Winnington Park 4th 2-1 Neston 7th

LIAM McKee completed a turnaround for Park’s fourths, who reversed a half-time deficit to claim maximum points against Neston.

The visitors took an opportunity to lead going into the break before Park regrouped in the second-half when Nathan Gee finished a good run to equalise.

Both sides pressed for a decisive goal which arrived when McKee struck for the hosts.
