NORTHWICH Victoria reached the semi-finals stage of the FA Vase on Saturday following a 3-1 win against Sholing after extra-time.
Steve Wilkes’ side had to come from behind to do it too after Lee Wort put the Boatmen in front midway through the first-half.
The same player was then sent off for the visitors following a reckless tackle on Vics captain Brad Cooke, who recovered to meet Ryan Winder’s perfect cross with a glancing header to level before the break.
Neither side could add to their total in the second-half and instead goals during the latter stages of the added half-hour, from Winder and then Darrhyl Mason, settled the outcome.
Who stood out for you in Vics’ colours?
