Sarah Murphy, from Vale Royal Athletics Club, was an emphatic victor of a race over 5km during the Northern Masters Athletics Club Cross Country Championships at Knights Grange last weekend
SARAH Murphy cruised to a victory on home turf when the Northern Masters Athletics Club Cross Country Championships took place at Knights Grange last Saturday.
The Vale Royal Athletics Club member was first to the finish in a 5km race at the Winsford venue, clocking 21:23.0 to classify close to four minutes clear of second-placed Sue Cordingley (Bingley Harriers).
Murphy took the women’s over 40s team prize too along with Debbie Moreton and Jayne Lomax.
