GOALS from Rob Hopley and Tom Owens secured maximum points for Witton Albion when they visited Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday.
It put behind them successive defeats on their travels, at Hyde United and then Lancaster City, and moved them further from the Northern Premier League Premier Division drop zone.
Carl Macauley’s men took the lead when their captain’s glancing header from Danny McKenna’s cross found the corner of the net.
They doubled it on 63 minutes when Owens was alert to reach Hopley’s flick-on from Anthony Gardner’s throw.
A seventh away win of the campaign was assured when they shut out their opponents for the remainder of the contest.
They stay 14th in the table.
Who stood out for you in Witton’s colours?
