IT is the turn of second teams at Northwich and Winnington Park take centre stage.

Blacks continue to navigate a testing run of matches in North West Intermediate League Division Two South when they host third-placed Bowdon seconds at Moss Farm.

A side coached by Chris Hart lost heavily at Helsby, another side in the race for promotion, last weekend.

Bowdon put 80 points on Winnington Park's seconds when they visited Northwich a fortnight ago and have lost only twice in the league this season.

Back-markers New Brighton seconds are the visitors to Burrows Hill.

It is an opportunity for the hosts, who prevailed 49-41 in a high-scoring encounter between the teams back in September, to put distance between themselves and the table's bottom two.

Park's thirds are also due to play at home in a Division Four South clash with Macclesfield fourths.

They were left without a game last weekend when scheduled opponents Whitchurch thirds conceded on Saturday morning.

Meanwhile Northwich under 18s hope to put behind them a defeat last time out when Wigan arrive at Moss Farm on Sunday for a North West Colts League fixture.

Blacks went down 33-12 when Eccles came to town last weekend.
