NORTHWICH Sapphires resume their campaign in the North West Championship League on Sunday buoyed by the knowledge they celebrated a first win last time out.
A trip to struggling Bramhall, who have lost all five of their Division One fixtures to date, is next up.
Sapphires, promoted to a higher level at the end of last season, ran out 55-47 victors against Chester to end a sequence of three defeats.
And they have an opportunity to warm up for that game when they take on Chester Maroon in the Cheshire Elite League on Saturday.
Northwich have an unblemished record after recording a victory in each of their four matches so far, including an 81-40 thrashing of Knutsford before Christmas.
They meet Chester at Winsford Academy, where play starts at 2.30pm.
Their opponents are playing catch-up after playing only two games before the winter break.
Sapphires’ second team return to action in both competitions later this month.
Meanwhile the club’s senior players train every Monday at Hartford Church of England High School, from 7.30pm.
