WITTON Albion started a new year with a stunning victory to complete a double over table-toppers Nantwich Town.
Substitute Will Jones came off the bench to score a decisive goal when he drilled a rising shot past goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen after pinching possession of Louis Barnes.
The visitors were able to protect their advantage for the remainder thanks in part to custodian Greg Hall who produced his best to thwart James Lawrie and Joe Malkin.
It is a boost to Carl Macauley’s men, who ran out 2-0 winners when they hosted the Dabbers in August.
Who stood out for you in Witton’s colours?
