NORTHWICH Victoria continued their progress in the FA Vase when they beat North West Counties League rivals Silsden on Saturday.
They established control by the break thanks to goals from defensive duo Brandon Barski and Andrew Fitzgerald and were repeatedly denied in the second-half by visiting goalkeeper Sam Lee.
However Steve Wilkes’ side added to their tally with five minutes left when Joel Brownhill converted a penalty after Darrhyl Mason had been tripped.
Their reward is a place in a draw for the last 32 which takes place on Monday.
