NORTHWICH Sapphires celebrated a first victory last weekend since they were promoted to the North West Championship League’s first division.
They prevailed 55-47 at Chester.
It means they can sign off for 2018 in optimistic mood ahead of a trip to Bramhall in the New Year.
Sapphires’ seconds went down 61-38 against their Chester counterparts in a Division Two fixture.
They aim to recover when Trafford Seniors visit next month.
In the Cheshire Elite League, Northwich seconds were beaten 65-38 by Macclesfield at Winsford Academy.
