JACK Marwood led home a record number of finishers in a primary schools boys’ cross country race.
The 10-year-old from Ravenbank Community Primary School was first over the line from a field of 159 finishers in the second round of the Warrington Athletics Club event at Walton Gardens on Saturday.

With two wins in the series, Jack is favourite to be crowned this year’s champion when the third and final meeting takes place at Walton Gardens on Saturday, December 8.
He also won the last race of the 2017 season, in snowy conditions, in the same under 11s age group.
