Why should I watch..?
To see how 1874 Northwich respond to bowing out of the FA Vase in disappointing fashion following a 2-0 defeat at Newcastle Benfield last weekend.
They had lost only once in their previous eight matches before arriving in the north east, and were starting to show the consistency of performance that management duo Paul Bowyer and Wayne Goodison have asked for.
However they will again have to reshuffle a side that will be without at least three players that started against the Northern League outfit.
Tomorrow’s visitors AFC Blackpool have won only one of their past five games, although that was an impressive 3-1 victory at Stone Old Alleynians at the Macron Cup’s previous stage.
What they’ve said
“We picked a strong side to play at Chadderton in the previous round and we’ll do the same [against Blackpool].
“This is an important game, although I’m satisfied the lads got last weekend’s result out of their system on the coach back home.
“They were absolutely devastated in the dressing room afterwards, primarily because we felt we had an opportunity to get through that we’d not taken and that hurts.”
Wayne Goodison, 1874 Northwich co-manager

Remember when…?
1874 Northwich hosted AFC Blackpool in a Macron Cup tie in April 2016?
The hosts prevailed after Joe Woolley, making his first start since returning to the club following a spell with Kidsgrove Athletics, twice teed up Sam Hind to score.
His double for Ian Street's side secured for them a place in the last 16.
The Guardian was there, and this is what we wrote: 1874 2-1 Blackpool: match report
