WITTON Albion will have home advantage later this month when they attempt to end a two-decades wait to play another FA Cup first round fixture.
Carl Macauley’s men, conquerors of FC United of Manchester last weekend, were paired with Solihull Moors in a draw for the fourth qualifying round on Monday lunchtime.
Their opponents currently occupy fifth position in the National League, and are one of the highest-ranked rivals the Northwich club could have faced.
However they have already eliminated two teams from the level above during this season’s competition after preceding a 2-1 victory at Broadhurst Park on Saturday with another at home to Spennymoor Town a fortnight earlier.
Witton, who have earned £30,000 in prize money to date as a reward for progressing through three stages, are scheduled to host the tie on Saturday, October 20, kick-off 3pm.
