Winnington Park 5-2 Lancaster & Morecambe
PETE Evans scored a hat-trick for Winnington Park when they brushed aside visitors from Lancaster & Morecambe last weekend.
He slotted the ball past the goalkeeper after Paul Stackhouse had moved a short-corner into his path before the attacker doubled his personal tally from close-range.
Lancaster replied shortly after the interval only for Evans to strike forcefully to complete a hat-trick.
Stackhouse’s drag-flick, of another short-corner, added to the Northwich side’s lead before Tom Hughes – after Lancaster had pulled back another goal – completed the scoring.
Mossley Hill 4-1 Winnington Park 2nd
WINNINGTON Park’s seconds could not protect a lead established on Saturday by man-of-the-match Fabian Hickson’s early goal.
They fluffed a glorious chance to make it 2-0 and were made to pay when their hosts levelled in the moments before half-time.
The home team made substitutions that changed the course of the contest in the second-half, scoring three times without reply.
Winnington Park 3rd 8-0 Mossley Hill 3rd
A GOAL inside the opening 60 seconds set Winnington Park’s thirds on a course towards a comfortable victory.
Liam McKee was their star turn, finding the net on four occasions, while there was a brace too for Louis Greenwood.
Strikes from Alex Goldie and Ian Turley completed a rout during which the home team’s speed in attack forced their opponents from Liverpool to defend deeply.
Wrexham Glyndwr 2nd 13-0 Winnington Park 4th
THE visitors opted for a youthful line-up that was over-run in the first-half and left to play catch-up.
They improved after the interval, and held their own, but goalkeeper Tim Wylie proved a valuable asset.
