ROBBIE Hatton scored four times as Lostock Gralam continued a climb up the Cheshire League One standings following a fifth win from their past six games.

They in-form Grey Lambs were too good for Halebank at Park Stadium on Saturday when Sean Tierney's header from a free-kick put them in front.

Hatton steered in James Dean's cross to double their lead before the latter made it 3-0.

Liam Orme's reply for the visitors only interrupted the one-way traffic and Hatton found the net from outside of the penalty area early in the second-half.

He was alert when Halebank's goalkeeper fumbled Matthew Herd's set-piece, firing the loose ball home with power to complete a personal treble.

However he was not done there, and punished another defensive howler to make it 6-1.

Cuddington established a four-point lead at the top of League Two after preserving a perfect home record by dispatching Maine Road's reserves.

Joe Lanceley's finish was tidy after a defender had failed to cut out a pass and he was on target again within a minute after meeting Ben Curbishley's corner with a header - his 10th goal in five appearances this season.

Curbishley was the provider again in the second-half when Daniel Hancock netted with power at the back post before goalkeeper Tom Evans saved the visitors' only shot on target at the other end.

Lanceley and Curbishley combined out wide before the latter cut inside and blasted a rising shot past the away side's custodian to add gloss.

Improving Middlewich Town reserves extended a winning run in all competitions to three matches when they prevailed at Golborne.

Tom Smith bagged a brace, while goals from Kyle Maddock, Daniel Martin and substitute Chris Holbrooks - their player co-manager - wrapped up a 5-1 win.
