OULTON Park ended a five-match sequence without a victory in the Cheshire County League’s top-flight when they completed a double over lowly Grappenhall last weekend.
A combined effort by Muhammad Kashif (4-26), who had the home team’s captain Adam Roylance (41) caught behind, and Tom Hyslop (5-30) helped knock over the Warrington outfit for 108.
Matt Parkinson (1-15) took the other wicket to fall to secure maximum points for his side in a Premier Division fixture for the first time since June 9.
Oulton Park had put 185-7 on the board after being invited to bat by their opponents earlier in the afternoon.
Opener Danny Leech (39) struggled for support, and only contributions further down the order from captain Patrick Roberts (24) and Mark Latham (25no) – who supported Matt Jamieson (59) – boosted their tally.
It left Grappers frustrated that initial inroads made by Sam Guest (2-51) and Arran McCabe (2-20) did not lead to greater reward.
A 77-run win for Oulton Park leaves them still seventh in the table with Alderley Edge, ahead of them, only five points better off.
