JAMES Dean netted in extra time to complete a stunning Lostock Gralam fightback and lift the Mid-Cheshire District FA Challenge Cup.

Dean, whose penalty shortly before half time sparked the Grey Lambs' revival against Barnton Wanderers, got on to the end of George Ward’s free-kick to give his side a day they will never forget.

The game was played at a good tempo and Barnton took an early command.

Craig Smith beat Wilson in the air to coolly finish the opening goal.

It soon became 2-0 when a defensive error led to an unmarked Wanderer heading home.

Moments before the break Jack Woolley was hauled to the ground and Dean stepped forward to convert from the spot.

Woolley hauled the Grey Lambs level when he managed to connect his knee with the ball from a cross by Ward, who went on to have the influential role in the killer strike during extra-time.

Lostock were in action again on Monday, playing host to Egerton.

Robbie Jones finished in fine fashion almost straight from the kick-off.

Charlie Hatton made it 2-0 after 17 minutes as the home team enjoyed a perfect start.

Goalkeeper Michael Langley saved a penalty before Egerton eventually halved the deficit.

It wasn't enough to spoil Lostock’s weekend though.
