BARNTON produced a stunning turnaround against Bredbury St Mark's last Saturday, when Sam Connop assembled an unbeaten ton.

At 197 just after halfway, Bredbury looked in charge of the Cheshire League top-flight fixture but Jordan Cobley (6-39) led a fightback and the innings ended at 237-9.

James Hodgkinson (2-59, 66no) assisted with the ball and his 50 runs off 17 balls was magnificent support to Connop (100no) and Malley (62) as Barnton eased home with five overs to spare.

Winsford suffered an embarrassing batting collapse at Over Peover in Division Four.

The hosts rattled up 212-6 despite Ben Crellin’s fine opening spell being rewarded with three wickets.

In reply, skipper Michael Dean (19) looked good but wickets fell with alarming regularity as Winsford crumbled to 46 all out.

Kingsley were unable to hunt down Disley’s 166 in Division One, finishing on 128.

Adrian Burden (3-32) led the way with the bowling, while Kieron Ollier (25) was top scorer.

Winnington Park’s 132 total looked shy and proved to be so at Ashley in Division Two.

Support was lacking to Jonny Wales’ 41.

Wales and Tyrone Young took a wicket each but an unbeaten 83 from Philip Critchley gave Ashley a comfortable ride, passing the total in the 33rd over.

Oakmere’s bowlers laid the platform for success at Poynton, who were rolled over for 112 with Nick Guest (5-22) leading the charge.

Slade Mitrovich rattled 64 off 40 balls in Oakmere’s 114-4 reply.
