THE Northwich and District League have sent a representative side to Great Yarmouth this weekend for the English Pool Association (EPA) National Interleague Finals.
They earned their place at the annual event as a reward for claiming the Cheshire Interleague title by a huge 13-point margin last year.
A draw has pitted them against St Neots A in their opening fixture tomorrow morning in a section that also includes Folkestone A and Shrewsbury B.
The victors in those two games will meet to decide a group winner.
Northwich have pedigree in the competition after finishing as runners-up to Trent Trophies A in the 2011 edition.
Four members of that side - Fred Backhouse, Darryl Fallows, Steve Moores, Lewis Webber - have been selected in a 10-strong squad this time around.
Northwich A: Eric Webber (captain), Darryl Fallows, Nick Hubert, Lewis Webber, Steve Whitlow (all Gladstone C); Fred Backhouse, Leigh Cobley, Rhys Jones, Steve Moores (all Castle D); Ben Johnson (Gladstone A)
