THE spoils were shared when two pacesetters in a race for the Mid Cheshire Super League title met last week.

Martin Thomson was the outstanding performer for Victoria in a 5-5 draw with Sparks, winning each of his three singles matches.

He also joined forces with Keith Mitchell in the doubles, and the duo came from behind to edge out Ray Worthington and John Perry in a decisive fifth set.

Dave Nelson was flawless for Manweb when they tied with Raptors, supported by a pair of wins for Andy Woodyatt.

However Tigers took over top spot in the table following a whitewash of Cobras, who have lost all four matches.

Four teams are vying for the lead in Division Two after Lemmings defeated Winsford Locke, a victory that moves them level on points with unbeaten Daresbury.

Bears won at Valiants to keep pace with them.

Elsewhere, Hawks inflicted a fourth successive defeat on slow-starting Sticklebacks.

Wolves are 14 points clear of the rest in Division Three after extending a winning sequence to five matches.

Snakes sit second after they were held to a draw by Vikings, while Romans and Rangers could not be separated either.
