SUBSTITUTE Steven Tames scored twice for Witton Albion to turn around an Integro League Cup tie against Nantwich Town they had trailed at the interval.
The front man’s introduction, along with Rob Hopley, early in the second-half sparked a recovery by Carl Macauley’s men.
They had taken the lead when Micah Evans nodded a first goal for the club from close-range, diverting Anthony Brown’s header into the net from close-range after the captain had steered Paul Williams’ free-kick his way.
The Dabbers, victors when the teams met in a league fixture last month, drew level when Jamie Morgan curled a shot out of goalkeeper Ryan Neild’s reach following Curtis Strong’s cut-back.
Nantwich edged head shortly before the interval when Steve Jones beat nudged the ball past Neild outside of the penalty area before rolling it into an empty net.
Wide-man Owen Dale was denied by Will Jaaskelainen, the home team’s custodian who like him is on loan from Crewe Alexandra, at the start of the second-half.
And he repeated the trick shortly afterwards before Morgan smuggled Will Jones’ follow-up off the goal-line.
Macauley sent on Tames and Hopley, replacing Danny McKenna and Jones, and they combined for the former to make it 2-2 with a smart finish.
The outcome was the same with five minutes left, this time Tames pouncing on a loose ball to score after Jaaskelainen had thwarted Hopley with a brilliant stop.
